Hurricane Katrina

Well, I personally have never seen this much distruction from a natural storm in all my life. I set here in front of my television and see New Orleans uninhabitiable until they get all the water/germs out of the city. They said that could take up to 3 months..jeez!

What we need to do as first is start praying to our Lord Jesus that he continues to watch over people in that area. Also to watch over all the people that are being sent their to help out much as possible. Please look over everyone who can not get hold of their loves ones due to power being down and can not get out of their area due to all the flooding and destruction. We also need to know that this disaster is not from you since you are a just and carring God. Thank you for everything lord from the food we eat to the air we breathe because it all came from you.
In your most holy name, amen.

The New Day Issue 1 Review(mini)

Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time Series – New Spring Comic Series

Last week when I visited my local comic shop, Dragons Lair, I noticed this title on the new releases section.  I did not realize that they were adapting his prequel book into the comic’s medium.
All I have seen so far is just issue one since that is all they have released so far.  What I can say about the first issue is that it reminds me of typical Jordan book except this once has excellent artwork by Mike S. Miller.
All we see in the first issue is an introduction of Lan, Moiraine, Siuan which are the major characters of this book. Most of the book is featured around the war with Aiel and the Great Coalition which is a great army comprising of most of the countries that exist.
We finally see Moiraine and Siuan briefly at the end of the issue one which they witness the for-telling of the Dragon Reborn who will be one day Rand Al’Thor.  One thing I did not realize that at the start of the book, both of these ladies were just merely accepted not full Aes Sedai.
Since I have not read New Spring yet and probably will not read until after reading this mini series to see how close they did adapting the book to comic format.
I will have the say so far that its excellent and can not wait until the next issue comes out.
